The Explorer is a multifunctional self‐service unit based on a smart and modular concept. The Explorer can be installed anywhere. The Explorer is a total solution consisting of two self check systems with a bookcase in between.
Items which are returned at the check‐in station can be placed on the bookcase and are available for new customers immediately.
Checking‐out materials is very easy; the customer scans his/her patron card, puts the materials on the work sheet and checks out the materials. On the 17”screen the customer can observe the transaction and can choose to receive a receipt.
The check‐in of materials is even easier. The customer chooses to check‐in on the screen, the items are checked‐in and the customer receives a receipt. The Explorer can also be installed as a check‐in and check‐out solution. When checked‐in/‐out the security bit is activated or deactivated.
The Explorer can also be installed with the unique return and sort system. This system enables the possibility to separate items which have to be sorted out (reservations, inter library loans). When a customer returns items which need to be sorted out, the letterbox will open, the item can be put in and the letterbox will close.
The Explorer is a completely new and modular concept and can be installed according to the customers’ demands.
